i made my drink too strong.

i would consider today a success. i fell asleep last night around 10:30 while everyone watched youtube videos. yeah, i'm a total party pooper. i can't imagine the crazy shit that went down after that. i woke up at 7am and wasn't quite sure what i was going to do with myself after that. so i decided to check out downtown. i walked around for a while until i realized every store or restaurant was too expensive for me to even pretend i could afford something. so i left downtown and went to wicker park to find some foods.

so i found this restaurant called ear wax. i don't know who came up with the name but the thought of ear wax while i'm eating is totallly unappealing. i like it. they had a lot of vegan food. even vegan desserts!!!! ilenia, you would have loved it. so i hung out there for a long time, even turned in an application. the hispanic guy who took my application totally flirted with me, but not in a sleazy way. i liked him.

then i went to the thrift store in bucktown that stephen, erik, ilenia and i went to. i found some rad things.

then i went to wicker park again, got lost for about an hour, then i met up with some people to check out their apartment. it's basically everything i'm looking for as far as rent, location, and time period. i met with these 3 girls (one will be leaving) and we chatted for a while. it was hella awkward. they were nice but i think i said some weird things that made everyone uncomfortable. i think it went well. i filled out a credit application and they are supposed to get back to me tomorrow.

i'm back at willie's place now. he's not here so i'm hanging out on the computer while all the other mother fuckers staying here are getting stoned in the other room. i don't know what i'm going to do tonight. i'd like to go out somewhere cuz i'm bored but the only bar i know of that i actually like is in wicker park which is about 45 minutes away from here. plus i'd be going alone and i don't really trust myself to stay sober enough to figure out how to get back here. who knows, maybe i'll go to the western bar down the street.

i'll bet everyone in lawrence is partying with the umbros tonight. i miss all of you.

i can't figure out whether or not i like the word smarmy. i don't think i do.
